The glass is very thin and I have to be very careful when using it. It feels like any little bump or dent could break it. A more serious problem is that once you have poured the liquid out and put the carafe back in the upright position, the liquid runs down the wall of the carafe. This happens every time you use it, no matter how slowly you pour. I was going to use it to hold cold coffee but I'm going to stain too many towels by wiping coffee drips. I couldn't go back because I had already used it.
