For the past twenty years I have alternated between going to the gym and walking, typically 25 to 30 miles a week on concrete, brick and asphalt. When the bad attack of plantar fasciitis hit, I wanted a well-cushioned and stable shoe after the plantar pain subsided. This shoe is the softest shoe I've ever had. Very comfortable for walking. It feels like it will work well for jogging and running. I have about 700km on my first pair. The sock material wears out, the sole gets thinner, but the cushioning is still fresh. The shoes caused blisters on the heels because I wear them with low-cut running socks. The positive aspects of the shoe kept me wearing them until they broke and no longer irritated my heel. Normal socks would of course prevent that. And they don't look bulky. When they get dirty, I take out the liner and wash it in the washing machine. Washing will not reduce their softness or damage the fabric. They're a bit more expensive, but worth the extra cost. Especially if you like shoes with good cushioning.
