This filter did nothing for my hard water, I mean nothing. It's like not having a hard water filter. I was convinced I was doing the right thing after switching from a salt-based fabric softener to Nuvo. I was completely wrong. I've had it for 1.5 years since my plumber told me to give him time. Now I need a new water softener and a new pipe. What a waste of the money I spent on this system and my plumber's work. Too bad I didn't read all the reviews online before purchasing this system. If you have very hard water, save yourself money and hassle and don't buy Nuvo products.
