. I have had the above printer for a long time and until recently I used it for 3D printing. I decided to remove the printhead and install the laser module, which I did. Only to find that I really don't have any material to burn other than notebook paper. The laser module only has an output of 500 mW, so although it performs very well, it cannot fell this tree. But I enjoyed experimenting with the image conversion settings in the software and having a stable base to try out with images. A note to my colleagues who don't normally work with wood: this material is wrapped and sealed with dissident bags for some reason. If you take parts out and leave them outside, they will absorb moisture and warp. Moisture evaporated by the heat of a laser or other heated tool will stain the wood in ways you may not like. try in the laser. But I think this wood is good enough for handicrafts. So if you want this wood to look its best, keep it dry until you're done.
