Review on Duracell 303/357/76 Silver Oxide Button Battery Pack - Long-Lasting, Reliable Power - 3 Count by Samuel Kromah

and decided these Duracells offered the best value for money

I have an EC-3 conductivity meter for testing water and needed to replace the dead batteries in it. I spent some time researching and decided that these Duracells offered the best value for money. The Energizer EPX76 is slightly better with a nominal capacity of 200mAh, while the Duracell 303/357 has 190mAh. (mAh material is like tread wear on your tires: the higher the mAh count, the longer the battery lasts.) Why didn't I buy the EPX76? Because I could almost buy three Duracell 303/357 for the price of one EPX76 (the price of three Duracells was 6% more than buying an EPX76 battery). When I received the new batteries in the mail, before I put them in my meter, I checked their voltage - 1584 and 1579 mV (of the two I put in my meter, I didn't check the third). I would like to mention that LR44 (alkaline) and SR44 (silver oxide) button batteries are the same size. In general, silver oxide batteries (which are both EPX76 and Duracell 303/357) are better than alkaline batteries and therefore cost more.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
