It literally took 5 years to find a Wi-Fi extender that worked well in the home. I used to buy several extension cords from different brands, but the problems I encountered were either the signal range increased the wifi a bit, or I had to fix the extension cord almost every day to get the extension cord working. I ended up going with the same brand of extension cords as here, but based on all my horrible past experiences, settled on a used model. After a full 5 days of use I couldn't be happier. I no longer have dead zones in my house and have not yet performed any resets or repairs with my internet. I have 60MB of Spectrum on the modem and used to be happy with 8-10MB over WiFi. Now I get 24-30Mbps anywhere in my house, and now I can even sit at the BBQ and still have a consistent signal, albeit at 12Mbps. If you've had the same problems as me, you know you can rest. sure that it actually works the way you hope it will. Just make sure you have a newer AC modem if you're using cord, and stop making the same mistake I made of not spending a little more the first time.
