Review on 🥐 Lekue Macaron Kit: DecoMax Pen and Baking Sheet Combo by Niropa Heinen

I make french macaroons all the time and my parents got me this set for Christmas hoping to make the process easier. This set is terrible! The piping bag is very difficult to squeeze because the transparent part is made of hard plastic and the back part is very easy to empty. My thumbs hurt after spending a good hour squeezing all the dough out of an impossible bag. Nowhere in the recipe book or instructions does it say to grease the cooktop, so I didn't think I needed it and I don't usually do it when using parchment paper. The cookies were terribly stuck to the tray and it was very difficult for me to remove them. French macaroons are very brittle and I have broken and cracked most of them; this or all of the inside of the cookie stuck to the plate. The recipe book claims that cookies don't expand beyond the shape on the sheet - that's completely wrong. My cookies grew over the ridges and eventually stuck together in huge chunks. This kit is terrible. Seriously, don't waste your money and buy it. I'm sticking with parchment paper and a regular piping bag and will never use this set again!
