This device can EASILY display and record objects more than 200 meters away in total darkness. The illuminator has multiple brightness settings that allow it to reach nearly 1000 feet. I was blown away by the performance of this device, especially considering the low price. We have a problem on our farm that GThunder solves;1. It's the middle of the night and the dogs start barking. They go outside with a spotlight to investigate3. The light deters a stray dog, coyote or intruder before you see them. With the GThunder device, you start the recording and go outside with no lights and you can actually see what's going on. This is a truly impressive device.
