I buy one of these for every kitten I ship or take as a companion on a commercial flight. You must go through a security check and your carry-on bag or transport box must be checked by a TSA officer. In a crowded airport with all that noise and strange smells, a cat or kitten is stressed out. They might try to jump out of your hands if you have to take them out of the carrier for inspection. I put on the harness and tie the leash and instruct the new owner to hang on the leash while I hold the cat in his arms. This is a security issue, so if the cat escapes from them, they still control it at the airport. I recommend this one because it's inexpensive but well made and adjustable to fit almost any cat or kitty.
