Review on πŸ”§ Enhanced Longacre 53036 Tire Pressure Gauge by Muleme Anderson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent DIGITAL gauge - High quality - Versatile - Easy to use and nice finish

Bought this to replace my snap on gauges which are broken after many years didn't work anymore. I usually prefer analog gauges, but the size of the digital display made a big difference for me when using these. This is definitely a quality gauge. All components fit well together and are well made. The meter looks accurate and is easy to use. This requires both hands to be properly seated on the valve stem and holding the gauge so you can read it. This seems to be an issue for some users, but I think it's perfectly normal. It's actually not that hard, rotating the meter slightly if needed so you can read across the face. While swivels can improve this, they also tend to leak after use and I think this design is perfect on its own. The hose is a bit stiff, but that's probably to prevent kinks and inaccurate readings. From time to time a little tweaking is needed to properly seal the valve stems on my rims, but there are many small differences in valve stems from brand to brand and style to style. I have metal stems so the end is slightly smaller than the rubber stems. Again, I don't see this as a disadvantage. Overall this is a great sensor and it is very important to maintain air pressure even in TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems) on today's newer vehicles. This sensor easily pays for itself by increasing fuel economy through correct tire pressure. Make sure the pressure is set to the value specified by the vehicle manufacturer and on the sticker on the door jamb or in the owner's manual. DO NOT set the maximum tire pressure.

Pros
  • High score for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other gauges
