🔧 Enhanced Longacre 53036 Tire Pressure Gauge Review

I bought a Longacre 53036 tire gauge for my BMW M series, I use ZR tires (rated 186mph) and they are a bit pricey so I'd rather make sure the Proper air pressure is maintained for wear and performance reasons. This gauge does its job perfectly, I checked the calibration and its accuracy, I have no problem recommending this gauge.

These Longacre pressure gauges are simply excellent. repeatability, accuracy and reliability. And on Amazon, they are very valuable. Just don't do what I did and try to thread a brass Schrader valve adapter onto the threads of a racing tire. It's not the same. Instead, take a vise and grab the rotating silver knurled part and use a wrench to remove the entire rectangular racing head.

Good accuracy and solid build quality. The problem is that the battery dies after three months and only three uses. This is unacceptable for the average use case and causes obvious pressure measurement problems. Poor electronics design, and it clearly has a passive voltage drop that drains the battery when the unit is off. It has become almost unusable for me since I don't use it at home and even then changing the battery every 3 months is not normal.

Excellent sensor. The long hose makes it easy to control the pressure. The real-time reading is nice as it's easy to get the exact pressure you want, over-inflate, and then bleed until you get what you want. Let's get one thing straight first. This Longacre sensor is part of their cheaper line, so don't expect super high quality. Other than that, once you get past the cheap packaging, it's decent. Bought this to replace my snap on gauges which are broken after many years didn't work anymore. I usually prefer analog gauges, but the size of the digital display made a big difference for me when using these. This is definitely a quality gauge. All components fit well together and are well made. The meter looks accurate and is easy to use.
