These pawfly air vents really are as good as the online reviews. I just have to say that I was hesitant to buy these because the previous air stones I've bought from Revain have been average, although the overall cost is lower compared to the pet store. There is not much to say about air stones. The challenge is to ensure your aquarium is aerated when connected to an air pump. I bought these to replace the air stones that were clogged in the exhaust pipes under the gravel of my 60 gallon tank. I swapped them directly into my pelvis without any prior "preparation" and immediately got a very strong flow of bubbles! These bubbles are medium to large in size but I use a higher capacity double outlet pump and the tube is divided into 4 air stones. I would suggest that these stones are perfect for any size tank, but be aware that excessive airflow can cause severe turbulence in smaller tanks or tanks with more sensitive species. Airflow in the aquarium directly helps with oxygen levels, but proper water changes and pH controls are still required for a more successful experience. Kind regards!
