Perfect for Smaller Batches

This fermenter is everything that you need to make smaller batches of fermented veggies. It's heavy, well-made, has the right ventilation, has a hole large enough to make it easy to clean, and the weights are spot-on for this size jar. It's perfect for what it is.Tip: Pay attention to the size. I am mostly using mine for fermented peppers for sandwiches and salsas, but if you're looking to make large batches of kimchi or sauerkraut you may want to go bigger. You'll get about 2 store-bought 48oz jars worth of sauerkraut out of one run with this fermentation crock. If this is the size you need, then this crock is perfect.

Pros
  • The water-sealed design ensures that the natural fermentation process takes place, producing beneficial probiotics that help support a healthy gut
Cons
  • It's not suitable for making certain types of fermented foods, such as yogurt or cheese
