Review on Kohler GP85556-CP: Chrome Slip Diverter Bath Spout for Effective Water Control by Michael Montgomery

Once you know you have a threadless copper nipple protruding from the wall, installing this "slip deflector" is a snap. My only complaint is that Kohler has terrible instructions. I would never intentionally install their products in my home. It was a contractor installation before I bought the house. I should also mention that this bath and shower has been used less than 10 times in 15 years. I just noticed while cleaning that the diverter doesn't work. Was the product designed to fail with or without use? I'm not a plumber so can't comment on that; but I'm a little annoyed.
