Suitable for outdoor use. The electronic circuits can pick up electronic interference, therefore they are not suitable for all locations. Perfect for what I use them for. I also have a set of Honeywell Impact Pro Sound Amplification Electronic Earmuff (R-01902) Howard Leight electronic headphones. There isn't much difference between them. Honeywell also has an electronic noise problem. Overall I prefer the Elvex for comfort and build quality. They fit perfectly in the Impact Pro case.
