Review on πŸƒ Saucony Men's Excursion TR14: The Ultimate Trail Running Shoe for Men by Bill Dahl

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not the Saucony quality I'm used to

Bought these to replace my old Excursion TR6s but figured not to worry. My old TR6s proved to be much more comfortable even after years of touring and wear and tear. I suspect Saucony just doesn't make them the way they used to. I should add that I also have an old pair of Saucony Eclipse TR3s and they are a lot more comfortable too. The heel of the TR14 felt bumpy when worn, and the fabric and stitching, even the eyelets for the laces, didn't feel as solid as my older models. So I returned them. I can go on the TR15 tour. It seems to be a more advanced shoe but I haven't decided yet. Would I recommend the TR14 excursion? Probably no. I would advise buying a more expensive model. UPDATE: I bought an Excursion TR15 (TR14 return). Much better shoes all around. Mesh and reinforced eyelets for laces are a real plus. Also much softer than TR14. It still doesn't live up to old Saucony standards, but it doesn't disappoint. I would suggest skipping TR14 and going with TR15. For another 10€ it's worth it.
