Amazing kites 80 inch wingspan 3D Nylon Kites aka Stable Mable

I bought this little guy because I wanted something bigger when flying my Cheepo kites, which btw Make someone happy. was a little confused about opening the struts, but once I found the little plastic pieces sliding into their locked position, I more or less did my palm. The first impression was pretty good. While other kites started flying immediately, I had to persuade this one, at least until I could take advantage of the gust of wind. Once up, it flew about 100 feet non-stop and was the most stable cheap (>$50) kite. I've flown before. He basically put himself in the right position and stayed there. Extremely stable. Two of the four black ribbons (made of cheap garbage bag-like plastic) were rolled into one long ribbon. Turning home put in that uphill battle. I suggest replacing them with another type. I noticed that at the end of the first flight session, there are several (2 or 3?) small struts in the kite's mouth holding it open. As soon as I put them back together and pulled them out, the cock inflated in seconds instead of the few minutes it used to have. Very pretty. Yesterday I took it to fly with a friend near the rocky beach when the wind blows from the shore. Pretty good experience and still extremely stable. I gave the kite to a friend and reminded her to keep it on land as it would most likely drown if it fell in the water. Not good for wildlife (seals etc) playing in the area. I was going about my business and another kkte jumped out and noticed. Yes, she flew over the water. The wind began to switch to a shore current, making the flight somewhat unstable. "Please wind it up!", but no. He dove right into Puget Sound *ugh* and as she pulled him up I pictured him diving his nose under the water and getting stuck in the rocks below. It was a finished man. She will no longer fly kites near water. I've ordered a replacement :) Overall, great value for money. It appears to be decent quality for the price and is very stable in moderate winds (10-20 mph) with decent traction. Just don't fly over water. PS - This kite is in the top left corner of the video. The other three are all Revain finds as well. Update (2nd October 2021): I received the Big Dragon replacement last week and unfortunately one spar was missing and the other broke. I sent it back yesterday and received a new one in perfect condition. Like the original that sailed deep in Puget Sound, this one climbed with no problems and was stable (attached to the ground) for over two hours in around 8mph winds. I think the only thing I would change is the tails as they're basically the same material as the plastic trash bag, but I'm not deducting points for the price. Later I will add my own tails as substitutes. The kite splits into a small group as you can see in the photo and is easily rolled up when you have finished your flight for the day. If I uploaded the video correctly, this is Dragon's first journey with me on a dragon reel. He stood up with no problem and little persuasion. Oh yeah . Get a roll - they make everything a lot easier. Highly recommended.
