Review on BOSCH TS1007 Dado Insert: Enhance Your Woodworking Performance with this Red Insert by Jack Ford

I've had this male insert for about 9 months now and I've finally reached the end and felt the need to write a review. Overall I am very satisfied with the products from Bosch; Their power tools are first class and of high quality. Considering their typical tool quality, it's all the more surprising that this product is complete crap. For months I have been trying to level it using the leveling screws that came with the baseboard board. It never leveled and was always out of sync. Ultimately, this will affect cut quality if the insert is not perfectly flush with the fence. So I decided to turn it upside down on the flat part of my saw table. Lo and behold, it's deformed. I can feel it rocking back and forth a lot, meaning it will never be level no matter how hard I turn the screws. I think the return period has passed but if you order this product please turn it over and place it on a flat surface to ensure it is flat before use. I love Bosch but this insert was a huge disappointment and gave me a lot of headache trying to cut the perfect grooves. Since they are not too expensive, I may try another one.
