The LCD panel on this display is very crisp and clear, and the colors seem pretty good right out of the box with minimal adjustments; The controls are incredibly simple, but the default gamma is far from the 2.2 standard. The glare is incredible, even in bright areas of the screen you can see yourself. It's like having a monitor behind a mirror. If I had to do this over and over again, I wouldn't consider this monitor again for that very reason. There is no software for Mac at all. You don't really need anything, but you should state it in the product information. (Plug and it works, no drivers needed.) It came with a VGA cable plugged in and screwed on, which is weird at best. I would have thought it would be used but the packaging was still there and there were no further signs of wear. in a darkened room and don't worry about the viewing angles, this is a great monitor that uses very little power. Otherwise skip it.
