One of my finches started using the common seed coat as his personal nest, so I bought these hoping to discourage them and keep seed spatter at bay. It's been a few weeks, but they just don't get down to business. They don't want to step on the grate they want the grenades to fall on, so they sit at the entrance and try to grab the seed. Tag to clean the top trays but I do. It doesn't hang well on my cage (I need a door to hold the thin plastic lip in place) so it's awkward to remove, and even more so, I have to put my hand in to clean the empty sinks. from the upper compartments. I end up using my fingernail to snap things. Not very good. I really wanted it to work and it may have worked for larger birds but not for my finches and cage doors.
