I am a do-it-yourselfer and I take care of 5 cars in my house. I've noticed that the newest ones lose a lot of their settings (other than the radio settings) when changing the battery. We currently have 4 home cars and a Toyota so I have not come across one of these having been retired due to a bad battery but that day may come. My main goal with this GoDiag OBD Switch Box is to use it to safely power the car while I replace a failed battery. For this purpose it is ideal. All other diagnostic features are an added bonus. I am very happy with it.
