Reliable and quiet door hardware and locks

I've had mixed success with Kwikset in the past and found Schlage to be the best deal. However, I recently had the opportunity to try several varieties of Schlage and several varieties of Kwikset at a home supply store. Either way, the Kwikset felt firmer, we were tighter and quieter. I bought a few to try and couldn't be happier. They are very quiet and don't rattle at all. No sound of metal on metal. In addition, they offer a great guarantee. I just bought 4 more to install.
