What more can I say about the noise? If you place the disk on the table, you will hardly be able to hear it, but you will be able to hear the head (like all disks). The disk also becomes considerably louder if you put it on the mouse pad, then take it off, and then put it back on the mouse pad. So, using any kind of anti-vibration pads or skids in cases will only result in an increase in the level of noise. I also took a second disk of this kind, and for those who prefer to run Victoria whenever they attach a disk, I'll say the following: I attached the drive to a hot one, and the files were copied to it normally; however, by the time I got to the end of the disk, Victoria had started showing gray sectors (and there were orange ones). Later, once I had defragmented the drive and waited, I scanned it with Victoria, and everything came out excellent; all of the sectors are a light gray color.
