My truck has low mileage, 80,000 for 2005 but lives in New England, road salt/brine ruins all metal hence lots of rust. I replaced the original Bilstein 4200 (?) and the lower parts were so rusty that I decided to replace them before they failed. Seventeen 17 years old and they actually still had a lot of life, which means they were still working and not floating. The distance was a bear, seriously. The old bolts were intact and the nuts were tight, but I bought 2 new sets (4 bolts) for the rear and one nut for each side of the front (bottom bolt) from the dealer. Be sure to check the VIN and make sure you have the correct bolts. I have an elevator, but even with the screws rusty and stuck, everything could be done with a jack and stands (play it safe). The rear install took 2 hours, the front 4-5 hours due to the difficulty of removing the strut and bottom bolts. You need to be skilled, but not a workshop mechanic. Not me:-)
