So this unit has fewer features. The airflow is smarter than I'm used to. My old Cut50 rig from 15 years ago allowed me to adjust the heat and air pressure and make tighter cuts. However, he was rated for 240V and is picky about harmonics on the grid (he didn't like my generator). This unit works well on 120v and beautifully on 240v, you can set the heat range and the air is 'preset' from the factory. It does its job well and is certainly easy to use and simple to use. I particularly like the trigger safety, which makes it much easier to just lie down and avoid accidentally triggering. It's also a lot easier. than my old cut 50 but still has the same capabilities. The only disadvantage that can be remedied with various tips is the slightly wider cut. but it also cuts through rust, paint and dirt very well and is easy to start and keep burning
