Review on ๐Ÿ“บ Roku Mounting Kit | TotalMount (Supports Roku HD, Roku XS, and Roku XD) by Ken Ayo

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Does what it was designed to do. Might be safer. The price has gone up.

It's simple and works with almost any flat screen TV. If the TV is pushed by a pet cat or someone is dusting, the bracket can easily fall off when using the clip-over-vent method. I originally bought it for $14.99. At that time I thought the price was rather high. I didn't want to buy it at first but my wife insisted it could be attached to a TV stand. At $15 I was a bit frozen. At the current price of $31.53 I would definitely not buy this mount regardless of my wife's wishes. Almost the same price as Roku LT or Roku 1, you could almost buy another Roku instead. This mount shouldn't cost nearly as much as the device it holds. While the mount is well packaged, sensibly designed and comes with decent instructions, the amount of plastic used and the durability of the plastic is somewhat questionable. While the newly purchased mount is unlikely to break if dropped from three feet on a direct test case, I have a feeling it won't take long to snap this mount in half and shatter it. It feels like the plastic isn't aging well. I suspect a non-Roku mount could easily crack or break after three years on a 3ft test case. The time will show. Honestly, this mount shouldn't cost more than five to ten dollars.
