It's not glass but it's really what I was looking for. You don't have to worry about this protective layer tearing. It's a kind of flexible plastic layer. It would be nice if there was a template that just lets you lie perfectly on the screen. I fiddled with mine a bit, trying to be precise. I had two tiny blisters but that was my fault for trying to be precise and chipped a few times. I would recommend them over layers of glass. I also bought the black rubber protective sleeve that fits the garmin inreach plus.
