I was trying to access my Honda CRV the other day and instead of just getting up on its own it slipped out of my hand and fell back down. The shock absorbers for raising the supports are out of order. I guess I can't complain, they lasted over eleven years. Went online and found them and two days later they arrived as promised. They fit together perfectly and now the cage door opens easier than before. The only problem is that the instructions are terrible, but what you have to do to uninstall the old ones and install the new ones is pretty intuitive. Just remove the spring clips from the old ones and the damper will pop off. Then just click on new. You must rotate the piston rod 90 degrees clockwise to align with the ball connector on the vehicle. Be careful not to unscrew the connector, just twist the plunger rod yourself. I hope they last as long as the originals.
