Review on πŸ”Š Lepai LP-2020TI Mini Class D Stereo Amplifier with Power Supply - Enhanced Digital Hi-Fi Audio by Raul Choudhury

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great amp on a budget.

This is a decent amp, not super high quality but what do you expect for $30. In fact, it's a pretty good deal for a mid-range system. If you are on a very tight budget then this one. an amplifier and a pair of mono and/or Dayton audio systems for $60. The speakers are a fair deal. It says it will handle a 4 ohm load, but when I plugged in 2.8 ohm speakers for heavy bass music it shut down to protect itself. (I think they're safe for anything up to 6 ohms). If you want two pairs, I think you need to put them in series (which I hate). All in all, if you are looking for a reasonably priced system with acceptable quality, then this amp is your last resort. TO UPDATE. After using this amp for a few months I thought it was pretty good for the price. I use it to connect a pair of Monoprice 6.5 speakers. I use them for deck use and they are good for everyday use. It's definitely not audiophile quality, but it gets the job done. Generally an excellent choice for a budget system. PS When I said it couldn't drive 4 ohms, I realized that both pairs of speakers are rated at 6 ohms (meaning they can go down to 4 ohms). ohms, in some places even less, so the amp is really stable into 4 ohms. ) so not bad for so much money, for a modest sound system.
