Great Value

Found a pair of Polk R150 bookshelf speakers for $39, so I needed a small amp to power them. The speakers say they need 20 watts to power them, so this little amp ticks all the right boxes. To my surprise, it mixes really well. To test this, I set them up on my dining table and plugged the amp into my Chromebook's headphone jack. I set the amp volume to maximum and bypassed the tone controls, then used the Chromebook's volume control to adjust the volume. I started a Youtube playlist and let it

Great amp on a budget.

This is a decent amp, not super high quality but what do you expect for $30. In fact, it's a pretty good deal for a mid-range system. If you are on a very tight budget then this one. an amplifier and a pair of mono and/or Dayton audio systems for $60. The speakers are a fair deal. It says it will handle a 4 ohm load, but when I plugged in 2.8 ohm speakers for heavy bass music it shut down to protect itself. (I think they're safe for anything up to 6 ohms). If you want two pairs, I think youโ€ฆ

Great amp, terrible (potentially dangerous) power supply.

Great little amplifier. I can easily connect many of my bookshelf speakers. The only ones that had problems were the Boston CR75 set, where the amp limited the volume to around 65%. I suspect it was a protection circuit because as soon as I turned the volume down the sound came back. Overall: Worth the cheap price if you just want a cheap amp that sounds good. Don't think this is a hidden gem for audiophiles at this price point. However: I give two stars for a cheap, cheap, cheap power supplyโ€ฆ

Great price but don't expect perfection from a tin can

I moved into a house that has speakers installed on the porch wall. I was curious if they were any good and if they needed replacing I would still need an amp. This little guy fitted the bill perfectly and the price was great for the fit and finish. The bass and treble controls seemed to have an odd range of adjustment, for example the maximum sounded like the mids should be, but some character of the speakers could have been found. Anyway, I balanced it and it reproduces the sound accuratelyโ€ฆ

Little Home Theater Miracle

Before buying a pair of these little amps I read about the amp classification issue and branding Lepy vs Lepai. This seller is on the hunt promoting TI programs and the like. It's been years since I've paid enough attention to audiophile issues, but I felt comfortable enough with the new product to order a pair. Right now I'm listening to one of Polk Audio's bookshelf speakers, which I use as background fill for a Chromecast Audio-powered whole-house system. And I'll be damned if I notice aโ€ฆ
