Little Home Theater Miracle

Before buying a pair of these little amps I read about the amp classification issue and branding Lepy vs Lepai. This seller is on the hunt promoting TI programs and the like. It's been years since I've paid enough attention to audiophile issues, but I felt comfortable enough with the new product to order a pair. Right now I'm listening to one of Polk Audio's bookshelf speakers, which I use as background fill for a Chromecast Audio-powered whole-house system. And I'll be damned if I notice a definite difference in sound quality versus significantly more expensive receivers and speakers in other ranges. At this price I have to call it a miracle. After playing with these nice little devices some more, I'll come back and upgrade them to five stars. If the miracle survives. (Edit: Two months later I now have three of these units and have given away two more. I also have Accuphase and McIntosh units and while this is a defect it gets more bang for your buck. So: 5 stars.) Update A : a week later, so far so good. Two of them are plugged in and don't even get hot, so I turned them up a bit. The sound is still reasonably clear, which is surprising for the price. There might be a slight harshness in the upper midrange, but as I usually listen to Pandora, the source material can be the problem. One caveat: when you unplug, you'll get an uncomfortable brief click through your speakers - not loud enough to blow anything up, but annoying nonetheless. At least not enough to deduct a star from the rating. PS: Please note that I have mentioned the price of this item several times. Because in this context I can describe these amplifiers as "little miracles". They certainly won't beat a $1500 amp, but they will definitely beat your average $100-150 bang for the buck. Incidentally, the bass and treble controls (and the balance control, by the way) work perfectly on both of my devices. xtx!
