Review on THETA 20 PWM Prozessorkühler Socket by Ognian Mateev ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I didnt expect the quality to be so high.

Under load, an Intel i5 8400 computer using the factory thermal paste achieves 63 degrees Celsius with only slightly audible fan noise. The temperature stays about 50 degrees and there is total silence during the games. For a thermal design power (TDP) of more than 65 watts, I would look at models with a copper core or a tower (assuming the risk of blowing a VRM or SSD is not something that can be tolerated).

Pros
  • Speed control, and silent when there is no load. A good and dependable clamp for attaching to the processor. The traditional layout is inferior to both VRM and NVMe.
Cons
  • Hard springs. It never even occurred to me that such things could exist. If the motherboard is damaged, using a screwdriver to drill holes in it can be quite helpful.
