I'm sure this hammer is perfect for the purpose. However, I am an immature person who buys things for immature reasons. In this case, if you strike the magnetic end of the hammer sharply from the side with another metal object, the hammer will emit a harmonic sound similar to a tuning fork. When I first saw such a hammer, I was shown this trivial trick and realized that I needed this tool. As a practical matter, I've abused my hammer more than it deserves. I ruined its finish by hammering in nails harder than any nail. In all of this, the hammer works as a light hammer for finishing, although it's not designed for that. It also works as a toy for a child with a sense of humor. I would recommend this tool/toy to anyone because it's cheap and useful when you're not expecting it. It's also fun to show your friends and family if you have the right level of immaturity.
