Too short, splashes and crackles.
Bought in addition to an existing set. Unfortunately they put the ceramic bowl too close to the candle flame and when I try to heat margarine or butter in it the liquid sometimes starts to burst and splatter even before it's all melted. They would be ideal if they were about an inch or two higher to separate the flames from the bowls, but mine are useless for their intended purpose. The only way to use them is to heat butter or margarine in ceramic bowls in the microwave and then dip them in until the liquid solidifies.
