I have been looking for some decent canvas which was not mounted so that I could use it for practice lessons in learning oil painting. This is exactly what I was looking for.HOW THESE COMEThese come in a set of two pads. Each pad is individually wrapped in plastic, and both together are wrapped again in plastic. I mention this because if you order these and your package happens to be left in the rain, they are protected.TEXTUREThere is some tooth to these canvases. I have posted a photo so you can see the surface somewhat. If you prefer smoother surfaces, I suggest you have some gesso handy.EASE OF USEI like having this handy. I just clip them or staple them to gatorboard or a clip board and am able to work on them for practice paintings. When I am done, it is easier to dispose of them.THE BOTTOM LINEThese pads come protected, have some tooth to them and are easy to use for practice or if you prefer to mount your own work.MY RATINGFIVE STARS.
