I bought this mainly to extend my desktop from my laptop when I'm studying (electronic textbook on Asus, Word doc on laptop) and also for easy mobility with Xbox 360 when moving around the house for LAN parties . The bezel is glossy and easily picks up fingerprints, but is also easy to wipe clean. There is a dedicated button for switching inputs; Clicking toggles between HDMI, VGA and DVI. It will switch to enter if you leave this option for a second. I prefer this ViewSonic that I have for my desktop PC (pressing enter will automatically switch to the next input and if nothing is connected it will switch to the next until it finds an input connected and switched on). I'm having some issues with my ViewSonic as I'm using the Xbox HDMI splitter and it only recognizes it half the time. This Asus allows you to force a specific input. If nothing is connected, a soft blue screen will appear. The viewing angle is decent, the screen can be very bright when you first turn it on, so I would suggest calibrating the screen. You can find them online; They have grids of black, gray, and white squares that you can use to adjust contrast, gamma, and brightness. The speakers are ok - I only needed speakers because there is an audio out on the back and I plan to use headphones while gaming.
