Edit 4/2020: Originally bought in 2012 it still works great and still meets all my needs. EDIT: A few years later: The earth leakage breaker socket failed after a few months of use. I turned something on, heard a popping sound and the GFI reset button didn't reset the device even though I tried and tried. Much later, maybe a year, I tried again and eventually the GFI reset button clicked and the inverter started. I took it to my cabin and after a few months of use I got another GFI ride (although nothing was plugged into outlets) and again the reset button didn't work. I replaced the GFI socket with a non-GFI socket and the device works great (I don't recommend this to anyone). Note. I also checked out the remote and found that with some DIY skill you could make your own remote using a LAN cable (I probably already had one) and a single pole momentary open switch. Look directly at the top of the cable connector tab, then number pins 6 5 4 3 2 1 with pin 1 on the right. Connecting pins 2 and 4 for at least 1 second turns the inverter on or off. This way I can keep the remote control in the boat and also have it in the cabin. First Review: Installed on my sailboat and works great. I have a manual switch from a previous inverter setup and reused it for this one. I connected this cord to the switch with a suicide wire from one of the front outlets and from there it feeds my AC outlets throughout the boat. I've used it at anchor quite a bit and it has worked flawlessly. None of my computers or electronics seem to notice the difference. This includes chargers for cordless screwdrivers, mobile phones, chargers for blue tooth speakers, chargers for MP3 players, etc. etc. I have not operated my side radio or checked for availability, interference or noise. my cabin.
