Love this thing. I'm not an idiot anymore since cars went from analog points, sockets and time settings to digital computers that require all kinds of specialized equipment and knowledge to run. I recently bought a nice but older '94 Ford Explorer which is now 22 years old and just doesn't work. Mechanics want big bucks to diagnose and fix problems. I was able to extract the hard codes (keys on ignition off) with this tool and was happy to only find 3. I will find out the cause of these errors and fix them using the factory repair manual which I also received from Revain. Then I will work on the engine operation codes if any. I will then clear all codes from the automatic computer by turning off the Check Engine light. This code reader comes with a book that explains in detail the reader, the OBD1 system and how to use it on your old Ford. I am delighted with this find and would highly recommend it to anyone who needs an easy way to download trouble codes from their Ford.
