Review on 🔪 Efficient Sharpening with Smiths 50447 4 Inch Diamond Sharpening Tool by Joel Miranda

This item is well made and serves its purpose. Designed for sharpening fishing hooks (long thin groove) and small pointy tools (small continuous grit) as well as knives and other cutting tools. I sharpened a couple of fish hooks and a bait knife easily and effectively in no time (actually, be careful not to use too much force when sharpening, as diamonds cut aggressively - at least right out of the box). Hoping this item didn't need to be lubricated to sharpen, I intentionally ran it dry. I can report that it sharpened the hooks and knife perfectly when used dry. Would have given 5 stars for utility but deducted a star because the lid is annoyingly difficult to remove (it's also difficult to separate with the lid inserted as a base on the bottom). Hopefully the lid will loosen up a bit over time. I recommend this product to anyone who needs a portable sharpener for quick cutting. I hope this review is helpful.
