Review on Monster MBL FM XMTR300 Discontinued Manufacturer by Oscar Thompson

Arrived quickly. Works as advertised. I always read customer reviews and this Monster product has had a lot of positive feedback which is always a good sign. And I've had enough experience with it to record messages from newbies, callers, or competitors, so I tend to drop those lazy-sounding reviews when making judgments. The fact is I live in "the slums" where there are a lot of empty spots on the VHF band. I notice that the high frequencies (100.1 and higher) appear relatively free of noise compared to the lower numbers in the radio readings. So I selected three empty slots in my car stereo and matched them on the Monster. Works great with my fancy little MP3/WMA player. If you live in a densely populated urban epicenter, you'll have to work a little harder to find free spots on the radio dial. The best thing for me is the cable that plugs into the cigarette lighter socket. Many of these gizmos are made "in one piece"; That said, the form factor is a single body that plugs into the cigarette lighter with a cable that goes to the MP3 player. The problem is that the cigarette lighter socket is right in front of the shift knob. Moving the lever forward affects everything protruding from the cigarette lighter socket. The Monster has an extra cable that allows me to mount an MP3 player and then put the transmitter and MP3 player in the glove box until it's time to park. Don't forget that turning off your car doesn't turn off your MP3 player. The thing runs on batteries. Open the glove box and close it the old fashioned way. Hand.
