Excellent value for money and quality!

(In the photos (Jeep white-red mount) we have the mounts facing inwards, but later we changed them to have more room for our 48" jack.) I was pleasantly surprised at how strong these mounts were for the price. They were very easy to install and we had all the parts in our kit. The kit doesn't come with an elastic band to insert between the bracket and the hood of the Jeep, so we just folded a piece of tape in half and cut holes. It worked great and you can't even see the tape. As I said, we had the brackets facing inwards, but later we changed them because our jack was a little wobbly. If you mount the jack with the handle facing the front of the car, your windshield wipers will work properly. He hit the jack a little, but not enough to change anything and not enough to leave a washer fluid stain on the hood. You won't find a hood bracket that removes the washer fluid. If this is a problem, move them to the side or back. Or you can get a kit to bring the windshield washers closer. We had a rusty spot on the hood, but we took the jack off and wiped it down with WD-40 and it's fine now. In the future we will buy a spray used on farm machinery to prevent rust. This kit doesn't come with a locking mechanism, but we bought a bike chain and threaded it through one of the holes on the bracket and then attached it to our jack and it worked great for us. With this mount, you put the jack on it and then put screws through it instead of already having screws to sit on. So you need to make sure it doesn't slip off and fall on the hood. Remember, if your jack wobbles, it may not be the bracket but your hood. We only raise the jack when we go on long trips or off-road trips, because even though the jack was attached to the bracket, our hood still bowed in the middle from the weight of the jack. So it wobbles with every bump we hit. But the problem is not in the jack, but in the hood. You'll get used to having a jack in sight, just as you'll get used to having your rear wheel in the way of your rearview mirror. It doesn't make driving difficult at all. All in all we are very happy with this mount!
