I've bought round plastic tools and this one just in case one doesn't work. When they arrived I compared the business end side by side and both looked doable. However, the plastic 1/2" round nipple didn't work, but these scissors did. Additionally, the scissor format acts as a handle, giving you extra leverage by applying more pressure to get the release mechanism into that narrow fuel intake gap! I'm so glad I bought 2 just in case one didn't work if I had gone with the plastic it would have just bogged down my AirDog fuel pump setup. Thank you OTC!
