Special low-profile design works in close quarters on GM Ford and Chrysler vehicles where there is limited clearance between the fuel line fittings and fuel filters fuel rails or sending units. Tool is designed to access the center port on the GM fuel tank sending unit. For 3/8" and 1/2" applications. Will also service 2001 - current 3/4- and 1-ton trucks with the Duramax diesel engines.
Very well made disconnect tool (METAL, not plastic). It made working with fittings over 16 years old on a 2001 Duramax fuel tank easier. Works very well. Just spray some WD40 on the fitting to loosen sand or rust. Great tool.

HANDS DOWN is the best out there. I have lots of them. Click on. Powerful. This is EXCELLENT the best. I've never had a fitting, it won't be easy to handle. Beautiful design.
I could not manage to remove the fuel filter on the 02 Chevy Tahoe Flex fuel no matter how hard I tried. The box even specifically said to remove the Chevy fuel filter. The tool itself is well built and I'm sure it will work well with large room setups.
I don't know who came up with this fuel line connector design, but if you don't have this tool you won't be able to disassemble it. It will now sit in my tool box for 150 years before I need it again. Then when I need it, I can't find it and then I have to buy another one. Then, immediately after the arrival of a new one, I will immediately find the first one. Then I put them away and wait another 150 years before I need them again. The cycle never ends!
I've bought round plastic tools and this one just in case one doesn't work. When they arrived I compared the business end side by side and both looked doable. However, the plastic 1/2" round nipple didn't work, but these scissors did. Additionally, the scissor format acts as a handle, giving you extra leverage by applying more pressure to get the release mechanism into that narrow fuel intake gap! I'm so glad I bought 2 just in case one didn't work if I had gone with the plastic it would have…
