Review on Anyray Replacement: GE WB36X10003 40W Microwave Light Bulb, Cool White 6000K - 2-Pack Bulbs by Jonah Koehnke

After constantly struggling with defective halogen bulbs we decided to go with this LED replacement option. The lamps seem to be well made, they fit without any problems. Luminosity wise they put out a lot of light and functionally they are as advertised and have been burning bright for over a year. I don't expect to need to replace them any time soon. CONS: These are not dimmable bulbs, our old microwave has a night light/work light setting and since we switched to these LEDs this feature no longer works. Regardless of the settings, we get the same overall brightness. In addition, the light color is not that appealing in our opinion. They emit a very blue-white light spectrum of over 5000 degrees, which is more comparable in color to older compact fluorescent lamps. This may not be a problem for some consumers, but I prefer the lower temperature range of 3000 degree warm amber that you get with an incandescent bulb. I know there are lower color temperature LEDs on the market. So if you're looking for a warmer tone, be sure to check the bulb's color temperature and look for 3500 degrees or less. The lower the temperature, the more yellow the light. Performance - 5 stars. As for the light quality - 3 stars. We divided the difference by 4 stars overall.
