Our dog LOVES this product. We bought our first one a year ago and it floated in it like the wind. First of all he is an excellent swimmer but we bought him to make sure he would be safe jumping out of the boat. After years of use, I mean heavy use, it's finally sun stained and worn. We couldn't find another Fido float at Pet Supplies Plus so we ended up buying a bulkier brand with a neck brace to keep the dog's head in the water. Our dog HATED IT! He was like a sitting duck in water. I think there were too many straps and he couldn't move his head so he worked at half the speed he normally does and wasn't enjoying it at all. We quickly grabbed our old broken Fido Bobber and he was swimming like a champ again! We converted a bulky life jacket into a spare and immediately ordered a new Fido Float from Revain. His first Fido Float was medium sized but when the new Fido Float came out it was too big. I think they have changed size. So we returned it and ordered a small one. It's a little tight and a little short at the top but he LOVES IT I think even more than the first Fido float. I would recommend this product for dogs who are great swimmers and this is essential to their safety. In the water, our dog never stops moving, so I'm not sure how good it feels when the dog is scared and just sits in the water. But for our little water rat, he slides into this thing. Good product! I hope they keep making them because we need another one in a few years!
