My 5.5lb Chihuahua fits perfectly in this "tiny" life jacket. He keeps his head above water and the pen can be very useful in an emergency. Every time I take it out he wags his tail like crazy and can't wait to put it on. We just love it!

I bought this item specifically for my cat who had a stroke and needed help walking. The picture shows TWO handles. There are TWO handles on the vest in the vest photo. I NEED TWO HANDLES. It only has one handle. So I had to start my search by postponing her physical therapy. As you can imagine, I am NOT a satisfied customer. The suggested size was also wrong.

Excellent value for money. The handles feel strong enough, they're not that easy to put on, and the bright orange color is great when the dog is in the water. After 6 to 12 months I would buy another one. If your dog is hyperactive or dances a lot or just can't stand being held by its paws THEN this can be a problem as you will need to feed each paw through each of the 4 holes in the device.

This little life jacket works great. We only go boating a few times a year. My 5 kilos. The Chihuahua is not a very (or good) swimmer, and the collar on this vest keeps their entire head slightly out of the water while swimming. We bought this for our Shitzu, it weighs about 15 pounds. It fits her perfectly and when thrown in the lake she floats. We are very happy with this product and we have noticed that our dog feels more confident in the kayak, in the boat or we have even taken her snorkel with us. They sent me a yellow color but this one is perfect. I bought the XS for my dog she is half Chihuahua half Yorkie and she is not small but not quite a terrier either which I think would need a small. So I took her in a kayak (which she loved by the way) and at one point she climbed onto the side of the kayak to bark at some geese and fell over. Our dog LOVES this product. We bought our first one a year ago and it floated in it like the wind. First of all he is an excellent swimmer but we bought him to make sure he would be safe jumping out of the boat. After years of use, I mean heavy use, it's finally sun stained and worn.
