Doesn't cover the entire screen from edge to edge, just the visible area of the LCD. There is approximately 1/4 to 1/2 inch clearance around the radio housing and controls on the left side. I'm not sure if this protection is actually made of glass; it flexes very easily, almost like a thick sheet of plastic but a little thinner than a credit card. But everything went smoothly, especially since I didn't have to clean the radio's touchscreen first, since my radio was just installed and the protective film was in until the protective film was attached. It's very clear and I really don't see the edge that much. I live in the Mojave Desert and have never experienced extreme summer heat. If I don't update, we'll assume this item has held up well to the heat.
