Extremely versatile, even supports sound

Works well with headless Linux computers that only have a VGA output on the motherboard. This device is designed for systems connected to a monitor with HDMI inputs (ie analogue -&gt; digital). By the way, the USB power plug shows up as a USB-C media sound card, and the sound from the computer works right out of the box. A huge improvement over lugging around a VGA-capable monitor for these configurations.
