These work the way I wanted them to by pressing the sauerkraut into the brine. As others have mentioned, coming out is very slippery, but I don't mind since I only want to take them out after the cabbage is "cooked" anyway. A really weird thing: I received a little card with my order saying I could go to a recipe website and subscribe to a newsletter. However, when I tried to access it, the computer started flashing all sorts of nonsense, as if you were entering a malicious website with a virus. What is that? You can also supposedly contact them if you have a problem (instead of leaving a bad review), but all of this causes sirens to sound bad things happening on the computer!
