Savings like this compared to Canon's OEM remote shutter release

When I'm taking a macro photo, I have to be extremely careful when clicking the shutter button to avoid moving the camera. This remote shutter release is just what I needed. In addition, it has a dual pressure switch (halfway down to focus, all the way down to click the shutter button) and a lock slider built into the same button for when I want to take multiple shots in a row, which can also come in handy when I set up night interval photos, use sky and Magic Lantern to manipulate those shots. I haven't tried it yet so I'm just guessing about this slider lock button app. I recommend this remote shutter release to everyone. The assembly is very solid - and the control head and the cable and the connector. I'm very careful with my gear but I can see that it will last a long time even if I wasn't that careful.

Pros
  • 12-month manufacturer's warranty
Cons
  • boring packaging
